We are now

3rd season at the 38th FILMFEST Munich 2021

After the awarding of the “Blue Panther” (Bavarian Television Award 2020) to director Christian Klandt in the category “Best Youth Series”, the 3rd season of “Wir sind jetzt” (“We are now”) has its ceremonial premiere at the 38th FILMFEST Munich.

Episodes 9 and 10 of the youth series will premiere at 5 p.m. on July 04, 2021 at Kino am Olympiasee and at 5 p.m. on July 08, 2021 at Rio Filmpalast.

Logline Filmfest Munich:

Christian Klandt’s youth series condenses the ups and downs of growing up in immensely intimate and close-up images. In every scene you can feel how much it takes its characters seriously. This is one of the reasons why the first two seasons were awarded the Bavarian Television Prize in 2020.

First love, wild parties, insecurity, emotional chaos and strokes of fate: In the brand-new third season of WIR SIND JETZT, there’s a reunion with 17-year-old Laura and her clique. This time, the focus is on Hannes: He feels more and more strongly that he is not who he wants to be. On Tinder, Hannes switches back and forth between boys and girls. In an inattentive moment, he clicks on Ariel’s picture. It’s a match. Soon they spend their first evening together. On the shopping tour with Daniel, Hannes secretly buys a dress, which he tries on at home in front of the mirror. Only Kim has the right advice for him: being trans herself, she finds the right words and encourages Hannes. Meanwhile, the clique comes together on the one-year anniversary of the death of their mutual friend Oli. They talk about him, can mourn and laugh together. But shortly afterwards, a graffiti appears at the school about Oli’s death, which weighs heavily on the group.
